The owner of SigningStar is Lisa Marshall, Ph.D.
Dr. Marshall is a licensed clinical psychologist who received her doctoral degree from Gallaudet University in 1997. She is the founder and coordinator of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services at the Virginia Treatment Center for Children in Richmond, Virginia. For more information about VTCC, click

Dr. Marshall has designed all of the items at SigningStar. Her Signature item, the "I-Love-You" Child's Rocker, was originally created as a first year birthday present for her son. The chair was so well received by children, friends, and colleagues that Dr. Marshall decided to make the chair available to others who have an interest in children and sign language. The chairs are individually crafted. Dr. Marshall hopes you enjoy the I-Love-You rocker and other items here at SigningStar.
